Day 1: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Our professional guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe/Kampala after breakfast and depart from Kampala early in the morning. Lake Mburo is strategically located a few hours from Kampala and closer to the west where the Gorillas live. Lake Mburo shelters several wildlife species like buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elands, waterbucks, warthogs, kobs, and baboons, among others. Arrive in the afternoon and head out for a cultural tour in the local village to witness the pastoralists. The long-horned cattle of the Bahima will be your major highlight as they milk and share how they get milk products from the cows. Drive to the lodge later and have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game viewing and Boat ride
After breakfast at the lodge in Lake Mburo, head out for a morning game drive to witness the amazing wildlife like zebras, buffaloes, and several antelopes. Later, break for lunch and prepare for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo to enjoy beautiful sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife as they cool off at the lake’s shores. Return to rest at the lodge in the evening to watch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Departure
After breakfast at the lodge, have an en route game drive as you exit Lake Mburo National Park. This game drive is the best opportunity to catch up with the animals you missed or to watch those you want to see again. Proceed to Kampala, arriving in the evening, and head straight to the airport.
